Fill the fridge

There are no shops in the small village of Butterton, we want you to make the most of your time here so offer a fill your fridge ahead of your stay service using locally sourced quality food supplies, all thoroughly tested by us!

Dairy, cheeses from The Hartington Cheese Factory, locally pressed rapeseed oils, amazing meats, pies, sausages etc. from Stanage Grange Butchers, Cottage Kitchen preserves and chutneys, Bakewell Pudding and fresh fruit and veg from Hartington village stores, plus onsite home baked bakery products.

These can be pre-ordered, we will do the queuing, lugging and unpacking. so when you arrive, in addition to the welcome basket we supply you will have a fridge and cupboards full of yummy goodies to look forward to.

Home Cooked Meals

The cottages have a well-equipped kitchens which will allow you to flex your culinary muscles as much as you want, however we do recognise that not everyone wants to spend time in the kitchen whilst they are on holiday. There are several great pubs serving food nearby (the Black Lion which is in the village is shut on Mondays) and there are some take-away options a short(ish) drive away from Butterton however this is a bit limited so to give you a wider choice we have a home cooked meal menu so you don't have to tackle too much cooking. Ideally, we need two days’ notice as these are freshly cooked to order, we can either stock your fridge/freezer box in advance of your stay or deliver to the doorstep mid-stay.
